Gemstar is operated by M5tar Studio, in collaboration with Gemsquad Production ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gemstar web application (the "Service"), available at gemstaraudio.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Gemstar is a browser-based vocal mixing and mastering tool. You upload an audio file (a vocal, and optionally a beat/instrumental), adjust processing controls, and the Service applies audio effects in real time inside your own browser. Gemstar also lets you export a processed MP3 file.
All audio processing happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. We do not upload, transmit, or store the audio files you load into Gemstar. Your vocal and beat files never leave your device. If you export a track, the file is generated and saved directly by your browser — it does not pass through our servers.
You retain full ownership of any audio you upload and any track you export using the Service. We claim no rights to your music.
Gemstar is offered under subscription plans (Starter, Mix, and Unlimited), each with its own feature set and usage limits, as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices and plan features may change; we'll give notice before any change takes effect for existing subscribers. The M5tar & Jewels signature knobs are an Unlimited-plan feature; Mix subscribers whose subscription already included them before this change took effect keep that access.
You're responsible for maintaining accurate account and billing information. Failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your access to paid features.
New Unlimited subscriptions may include an introductory discount (currently 10% off the first 3 months), applied automatically at checkout with no code required. This discount is conditioned on remaining subscribed for that full 3-month period — see "Unlimited Intro Discount & Early-Cancellation Charge" in the Refund & Cancellation Policy below for what happens if you cancel before completing it.
You agree not to:
Gemstar — including its software, design, the "Gemstar" name and logo, and the audio-processing chain itself — is the property of M5tar Studio. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you. Your license to use the Service is limited to what's needed for its intended purpose and ends if these Terms are violated or your subscription lapses.
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that Gemstar will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, including professional release-ready mastering. You're responsible for reviewing and approving any exported audio before using it commercially.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, M5tar Studio and Gemsquad Production won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost revenue or lost recordings. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New York State, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.

Gemstar is operated by M5tar Studio, in collaboration with Gemsquad Production ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Gemstar web application at gemstaraudio.com, and how we use it.
Gemstar processes your audio entirely inside your own browser. We never see, receive, or store the vocal or beat files you upload. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us directly — like your email address if you join the waitlist or subscribe.
Audio files: None. Gemstar's vocal processing, mixing, and mastering all run locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio never leaves your device, is never uploaded to any server, and is never stored by us — including files you export.
Waitlist / subscription information: If you join the waitlist or subscribe, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and selected plan.
Billing information: Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not directly collect or store your card number — Stripe handles that under its own privacy and security terms. We receive your email address and subscription status from Stripe so we can provide access to your plan.
Basic usage data: Standard technical information any web server or hosting provider collects automatically (e.g. browser type, approximate location from IP address) for security and operational purposes.
We use the information above to: provide and improve the Service; notify you when the waitlist opens or your plan changes; communicate with you about your account or billing; and maintain the security and reliability of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate the Service (for example, our payment processor) or as required by law.
Gemstar uses minimal local browser storage for functional purposes, such as remembering your language preference and keeping you unlocked after verifying your subscription. This data stays on your device and is not sold or shared.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you (such as your waitlist or account email) at any time by contacting us at Gemstaraudio@gmail.com. Since we never store your audio in the first place, there's nothing to request or delete there.
Gemstar is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

You can cancel your Gemstar subscription at any time, with no retention hoops to jump through. The fastest way is the "Manage / cancel subscription" link inside the Gemstar app once you've verified your plan, which takes you to a secure Stripe billing page where you can cancel or update your payment method yourself. You can also email Gemstaraudio@gmail.com and we'll process it. Cancelling stops future billing — you won't be charged for the next billing cycle.
We don't offer refunds for the current or past billing periods already paid, including partial months. When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to your plan through the end of the period you've already paid for.
New Unlimited subscriptions may come with an introductory discount (currently 10% off your first 3 months), applied automatically with no promo code needed. That discount is offered on the condition that you stay subscribed to Unlimited for the full 3-month period it covers.
If you cancel your Unlimited subscription before completing that 3-month period, this constitutes ending the discount's condition early, and as a one-time charge upon cancellation, we will bill you — to the payment method on file — the value of the discount already given for each month you received it (i.e., the difference between the discounted rate and the plan's regular price for those months), up to a maximum of 3 months' worth. This effectively charges you the regular, full price for the discounted month(s) you already had. Subscribers who complete the full 3-month period are not charged this amount, regardless of when they cancel afterward. This charge does not apply to the Starter or Mix plans, or to Unlimited subscriptions that didn't receive this discount.
If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a billing mistake — email us at Gemstaraudio@gmail.com and we'll look into it promptly.
